In our first Rooted issue in 2022, we celebrated Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with the stories of seven incredible women behind the Banyan Tree Spa Academy’s 20-year journey of wellbeing. Other highlights in Q1 this year included Banyan Tree Group’s collective efforts during the global Earth Hour event, and the publication of our Group’s 2021 Annual and Sustainability Reports.
In this issue, we rounded up the year with meaningful stories from our properties around the globe and their efforts towards our Group’s sustainability goals. Highlights from this quarter include the establishment of a fund for green projects in China, a new apprenticeship programme to provide marginalised youths with hospitality training and job opportunities, and our Group’s stakeholder-informed ESG Materiality Analysis to prioritise ESG impacts from our business.
