Our quarterly reports summarize key efforts towards our broader sustainability goals and objectives, carried out at our properties across the globe. They provide a snapshot of our collective efforts and the innovative and diverse sustainability programmes we coordinate with our stakeholders.
This quarter, Banyan Tree Group celebrated World Tourism Day by revisiting our efforts over the years to catalyse positive change in the world through travel, together with our guests and partners. We also launched the second run of our Greater Good Grants, which will fund ground-up projects tackling contemporary issues arising from COVID-19. Other highlights include establishing science-based targets to reduce emissions, and our first steps towards greening hotel operations.
In Q2 2021, Banyan Tree Group joined the world in celebrating Earth Day and World Environment Day, with associates and guests joining in our activities to make a positive impact on the environment and surrounding communities. Other highlights include the announcement of the eight awardees of our Group’s inaugural Greater Good Grants, and Banyan Tree Group’s commitment to the UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge.
