In Q2 2021, Banyan Tree Group joined the world in celebrating Earth Day and World Environment Day, with associates and guests joining in our activities to make a positive impact on the environment and surrounding communities. Other highlights include the announcement of the eight awardees of our Group’s inaugural Greater Good Grants, and Banyan Tree Group’s commitment to the UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge.
In our first Rooted issue in 2021, we highlight creative resource conservation efforts by our properties worldwide during the global Earth Hour event. Other highlights in Q1 this year include Banyan Tree Group’s post-COVID wellbeing drive combining personal wellbeing and greater sustainability, with the launch of 16 new Wellbeing Sanctuaries globally in 2021.
