Banyan Tree Ungasan Free English Course for Ungasan Villager

Banyan Tree’s initiative to improve English language skill for Ungasan villagers was started in 9 November 2009 where Banyan Tree Ungasan worked with a local English course agency. The course aimed for elementary level English. The course duration was three months and held in two batches, with maximum 50 participants per batch. Response from the villagers to this program was very good as seen in fully booked seats for the two batches. 37 participants were graduated from the 1^st batch and 42 from the second one. The course, which ended on 9^th May 2010, will allow an opportunity for the villagers to improve their language skill and implement it at their workplace or schools. Looking at the enthusiasm over the program, it is anticipated that the program will continue in the future.
